The Smart One: The Smart Choice for Travelers

An invention from Canadian Simon Wilby gives inveterate travelers the option of leaving their cellular phone charger at home.

The Smart One is an aftermarket product for cellular phones to make them charge from basically any light source, whether it is the sun, ambient light, a florescent lamp or even moonlight. For world travelers, this means freedom from worrying about their mobile phone’s compatibility to foreign wall sockets. For weekend warriors, this means never having to worry about running out of power in the middle of nowhere.

The Smart One uses solar cells made from state of the art plastic whereas most conventional manufacturers use silicone. Simon Wilby says that this allows full circuitry and improved battery performance.

Simon Wilby designed The Smart One precisely so his cellular phone would never inconveniently run out of power ever again. It looks like Simon Wilby got his wish.
